The allotments welcome old hands and new, and provide a supportive community where we can all continue to learn how to get the best from our plot.
We offer a range of sizes, so you can start small, or even share a plot. The committee keeps a weather eye on the condition and maintenance of the plots. Help is always at hand from other vegetable growers. Gardeners' Question Time once featured a glorious answer from Bob Flowerdew about advice to be had from fellow gardeners:
' your fellows can provide a wealth of experience and advice on how to grow the best vegetables. But never loose sight of the fact that you will also here the biggest load of nonsense, rumour, scuttlebutt and pseudoscience anywhere this side of the moon!'
